500,000th Visitor |
On
Sunday, October 6, 2002, Miho Museum welcomed its 500,000th visitor,
Mayumi Yoshioka from Yamaguchi Prefecture. Ms. Yoshioka was presented
with a bouquet of flowers upon her entry for being part of Miho Museums
milestone.

・Planting More Cherry Trees |
Miho
Museum has extended the area, in which the weeping cherry tree line
the road leading to the museum. Several weeping cherry and mountain
cherry trees have also been planted in this area.

Exhibition |
Each
year, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology
presents an award to an outstanding photographer, whose work represents
the spirit of the given year. Design and educational function are
highly ranked among the entries. Miho Museums 2003 Calendar, commemorating
its 5th anniversary, recently received this award at the 54th Japan
Calendar Exhibition. |
