MUSEUM NEWS

Saturday Evenings Closed
Starting on the opening of the Special Spring Exhibition on March 16, 2004, MIHO MUSEUM will no longer be opened on Saturday evenings. In place of this, nighttime events will be scheduled for spring, summer, and autumn. We hope you will come enjoy the evening ambience of the Museum during these times.

Special Museum Hours for Children
Beginning this year, MIHO MUSEUM will have special museum hours geared towards elementary and middle school students on its closed days. These special openings will give children the opportunity to freely experience the Museum, draw sketches (pencil only), and participate in educational programs. The handling of art objects will not be permissible. The restaurant and café will be closed, visitors are recommended to bring their own lunch and snacks. A self-service tea area will be available. Adult groups may also be admitted at the regular admission fee, however, please be aware that there may be many children about the galleries.
      Schedule for Children's Openings:
Friday, June 11 to Tuesday, June 15, 2004
Thursday, December 16 to Thursday, December 23, 2004
Tuesday, February 1 to Monday, March 14, 2005
Please note that galleries may be temporarily closed for forthcoming exhibitions. Student groups are requested to make reservations in advance. Entrance is free for elementary and middle school students as well as their group leaders.
