Storytelling: Tales Hidden within Artworks
For approximately 30 minutes, from 2:00 p.m. every Sunday during
exhibitions (schedule subject to change) in the South Wing Lecture Hall
(reservations not required).
Our volunteer staff members narrate original stories based on legends and myths of artworks from our collection. Interwoven with sounds and images, the tales of Egypt, Greece, and China that we tell bring to life objects from antiquity. Have you ever wondered what kinds of stories are hidden within ancient art?

We have made a coloring book out of the animals, flowers, and wonderful motifs that appear on this carpet. Use your favorite colors to color them! Even adults will love the beautiful drawings and descriptions that accompany them. Please read them to your children as well.
