To continue the celebration of last year’s 400th anniversary of Rinpa, MIHO MUSEUM’s collection of works by Kenzan will be shown for the first time in twelve years, in conjunction with Rinpa exhibitions at the Hosomi Museum (Kyoto, 9/19–11/23) and Sekisui Museum (Tsu City, Mie Prefecture, 10/23–12/27).
   Featuring works by Rinpa masters Hon’ami Kōetsu (1558–1637), Ogata Kōrin (1658–1716), and Sakai Hōitsu (1716–1829), this exhibition presents the allure of early modern decorative art in Japan.
