Organized by Notane Festival Executive Committee, NPO Shumei International
Supported by MIHO MUSEUM and NPO Shumei Natural Farming Network | With the cooperation of Tashiro and Hata districts
The Notane Festival began as a concept of living in a diverse ecosystem and a natural environment that fosters this ecosystem. Notane in Japanese means “the seed of ...” The Festival is a gathering of people who work in sustainable farming and are engaged in sustainable lifestyles. Through this festival, we hope that the participants will gain a deeper appreciation and increased awareness for seeds, which are a source of life, safe foods, and learning from nature.
This 2nd Notane Festival will be held in the verdant village of Tashiro Kōgen, located next to MIHO MUSEUM, and will offer the opportunity to experience real beauty, agriculture, and food in a wonderful environment. There will be many stands selling natural foods and drinks, vegetables and other food products, regional specialties, and general merchandises. Music performance and chorus presentation by neighboring school students and taiko performance will also be presented. Let’s join, share, and celebrate together! Please come by when you visit MIHO MUSEUM!
